Multi-Phase Pump
MULTI PHASE PUMP
After crude oil is brought to the surface either by well pressure or by use of pump, it needs to be transferred to central processing station for .
- Wells are normally located in offsite location.
- Oil production from particular well/ site may not be enough to justify the processing facility at well head.
- Utilities requirement needs to be arranged for well site for multiple locations.
In order address these challenges multiphase pumps are used. These pumps are designed to handle Liquid+ Solid+ Gas at varying ratios. These pumps helps to consolidate production at central facility for further processing for onward dispatch to refineries.
Advantages of Multi Phase Pumps at well head:
- Crude Oil processing CAPEX is centralized.
- No separate pipe line for oil & gas is required.
- Reduced well head pressure thus reducing internal leakages in upstream of the well.
- No amount of gas needs to be flared.
- MPP operation can be automated thus making the overall operations smoother.
MES Pumps and System offer PC Pump for multi-phase applications. These pumps are inherently designed to handle liquids, solids and gases however MPP application demands that pump selection is done carefully to handle the variable conditions at well head and designed with suitable accessories for smooth operation of the pump.
